What is a NERB? The North East Rod Builders are a group of custom fishing rod builders who share a passion for the artistic aspect of the craft. What makes the NERBs special are the members who push each other higher & higher and further & further away from "The Box". Each member puts forth a great deal of pride in their work, and it shows in the final result when that last coat of epoxy is put on the rod.
There is an electronic newsletter sent out several times per year which updates members on upcoming NERB events, but will also share new techniques, components, and sometimes a funny story. There are local Gatherings held at member's homes & shops for between 5-30 builders a few times per year. To date, there have been Gatherings in NJ, NY, Massachusetts, Alaska, North Carolina, Wisconsin, and Chicago, and we are always looking for new locations..
